Minimum & Maximum Sized Orders
The minimum order is one dozen. A dozen=12 pencils. The minimum order can contain an assortment of pencil colors of either hexagonal or round or golf pencils but not a mixture of styles, with one lettering color per dozen, and identical text per dozen. There is no maximum order size at this time, though delivery times will be extended for very large orders.
Orders by the Gross
Orders by the identical Gross that meet the stated minimum quantities are deeply discounted on our sister estore at www.ExplicitlyYoursPencils.biz.
Orders by the Gross ship separately from Orders by the Dozen and each type of Order requires its own separate shipping fee be paid. Small quantity items such as sharpeners ship as Orders by the Dozen and must be a separate order from pencil Orders by the Gross.

Bids & Price Quotes
Complete pricing information is available on the website 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so staff will not prepare free bids for customers. A non-frundable fee of $35 can be paid to have staff prepare a bid or price quote. There is a minimum 24 hours turn around time for the preparation of bids and price quotes.
Previews
Previews are not available online. Explicitly Yours Pencils sells tens of thousands of font, pencil and print color combinations.
Quantity Discounts
www.ExplicitlyYoursPencils.com does not offer quantity discounts. Our sister estore at www.ExplicitlyYoursPencils.biz deeply discounts large orders that meet advertised criteria.
Pencil Quality
Our full-length and golf pencils are USA made, First quality, wood cased pencils with #2 lead unless #2 Soft Lead is specified. The pencil erasers erase, not smudge. The coloring pencils with colored lead are made in China and are intended for children, not serious artists.
Pencil Combinations Within a Dozen or Order
We are pleased to make any pencil color assortment per dozen so long as one lettering color works on all pencils in the dozen. Each dozen consists of either hexagonal or round pencils, but not both. There is no limit to how many dozens can be purchased, and each dozen can be unique. We do not manufacture pencils, so assortments must consist of pencils already in our inventory.
Lettering Color Selection & Contrast
Dark colored pencils need light colored lettering and light colored pencils need dark lettering for contrast.
Light contrast looks like embossing rather than print. It's all up to you. It will be hard to read but that just may be the desired look. We won't second guess customers. If you order pencils and print colors with weak contrast, that is what will be printed.
Black lettering tends to look gloomy & depressing most of the time. We don't recommend it.
Universal colors tend to be white, gold and silver.
Logos
We do not print logos on Orders by the Dozen.
Specialty Fonts in General
Each font has it's own lettering and punctuation capabilities. Some are UPPERCASE only while others are lowercase only. Most fonts have both upper & lowercase capability. Only one font, 10pt Century Schoolbook Bold Italic lacks numbers. See our link called Fonts at the top of every webpage in this estore.
8pt Specialty Fonts
The 8pt specialty fonts are available only because the metallic hexagonal pencils are narrower than other hexagonal pencils. Only metallic, hexagonal pencil orders are expected to, and should, use 8pt specialty fonts. There is an additional charge per dozen for specialty fonts.
10pt Specialty Fonts
The 10pt specialty fonts work best on all non-metallic, hexagonal pencils. These specialty fonts give you a way to express the personality of the person or event. They really make the pencils look unique and special. There is an additional charge per dozen for specialty fonts.
12pt Specialty Fonts
The 12pt specialty fonts fill the entire height of the pencil, and sometimes more. 12pt fonts can only be used on inventory that can handle the particular text submitted. For example, words with y's and f's descend far and ascend high so text with both will not fit on the pencil with a 12pt font. There is an additional charge per dozen for specialty fonts.
Characters Per Text Line
The number of characters, which includes spaces & punctuation, that can be used on a text line depends on which font is selected, the pencil length and the individual characters used in the text line. It varies widely. M's and W's are double wide characters and therefore count as two characters in all fonts. There must be at least three characters, not including spaces or punctuation, per text line on all imprinted pencils.

Hexagonal Multiple Line Layout Options
This only applies to hexagonal pencils orders with two or more text lines since each text line is printed only once. Hexagonal pencils have six sides, sometimes referred to as panes. Adjacent Panes means the text lines appear on sides right next to each other. Every Other Pane means there is a blank side between text lines. Opposite Panes can only be used for orders with two text lines and the text will appear on opposite sides of the pencil.
Long Text Lines
Long text lines incur a $5 set-up fee per text line per dozen. A long text line is defined as more than five words. A word is defined as adjacent characters or punctuation surrounded by spaces. Here are examples of five words: TOMMY & I thank you.

Return Policy
All sales are final because personalized pencils cannot be resold. If Explicitly Yours makes a printing error, we will correct our error and reship at no additional cost to the customer. Do not send pencils back to Explicitly Yours.
Sales Tax
Under current state and federal tax law, only billing and shipping addresses within California are charged sales tax at the uniform rate based on Los Angeles County.
Rush Orders
Shipping
Explicitly Yours™ ships Orders by the Dozen via United States Postal Service (USPS) using Parcel Post, First Class, Priority and Express shipping services. Only USPS Express is date guaranteed delivery. All orders are shipped with signature required for delivery because your credit card company requires a Cardholder's signature at delivery to prove receipt. We're following their rules and it is not negotiable. Orders can be shipped anywhere in the U.S.A.; orders need not be shipped to the billing address. Shipping is not included in the price of products or services unless stated otherwise on the website, and includes one shipment to one location per shipping fee. In most cases, any adult can sign for delivery it does not have to be the purchaser. We do not offer local pick-up.
Orders by the Gross ship UPS and therefore separately from Orders by the Dozen. Consequently, Orders by the Dozen & Accessories such as sharpeners and erasers must be placed completely separately from Orders by the Gross, and each requires its own separate shipping fee be paid.
The website can only calculate one shipping method and we chose USPS.
Printing is for Right Handed Users
Explicitly Yours prints pencils so that the text is read from left to right while being held in the user's right hand. Upon written request, orders can be printed so that the text is legible for left handed users. All pencils in the order must be either for right handed or left handed users, not both. To request left handed printing if it is not part of the order page itself, an email must be received prior to the start of printing the order.
Blank Pencils
Explicitly Yours™ is not a distributor of blank pencils. Blank pencils cost the same as printed pencils. To order blank pencils, simply order the pencils and write in text line 1 "I want to purchase these pencils blank".
Pencil Accessories & Extras
These items are only available to accompany the purchase of personalized pencils. Not sold separately without a personalized pencils purchase.
Multiple Fonts
An order, in its entirety, may contain no more than two different fonts at no additional cost. Beyond two fonts, there is a fee that is posted on all applicable order pages. The greater the number of different fonts in a particular order, the greater the additional fee. This fee reflects the increased time it takes to print the order. The free, Arial font is included in calculating the total number of multiple fonts in an order, even though it incurs no per dozen fee in ordering it. The multiple font fee is not negotiable.
Telephone Contact
There is no room for errors in personalizing pencils so all communications MUST be in writing via email to prevent errors or miscommunication. There must be an exact meeting of the minds regarding printing content before printing will begin, therefore, telephone customer service is not available. But if you are wondering, yes, we are here daily and we have a telephone; a telephone simply does not fit into this business for customer service purposes.

Return Policy

Rush Orders
- Orders by the Dozen
Orders by the Dozen can be rushed for a fee of $5 per dozen. During checkout for orders by the Dozen, a checkbox appears to designate an order Rush. All personalized items in the shopping cart must pay the rush fee to qualify for rush service. Rush Service means we will ship the order by the end of the next business day so long as the order does not need tweaking, or within 24 hours of errors being corrected via email. Please check your email often during the 24 hours after placing a rush order.
- Orders by the Gross
Orders by the Gross cannot be rushed. No exceptions.
Shipping
